Some more Christmas pics

The WORST night EVER

Ok, well maybe not the worst night, but this is a terrible story.  Jason was planning to take Jacky on a romantic sleigh ride through the powdery snows of CO.  After what was supposed to be a 40 minute romantic ride to a scenic lodge to dine on fine foods they were to be whisked away by the romantic musings of CO hospitality.  A night never to be forgotten by the two newly engaged virginians.    

That is not what happened.  The story begins with a 10 minute sleigh ride to a not so scenic TENT that looks like holes were repaired with duck tape.   Inside the tent there were picnic tables/linens and the floor was adorned with hay.  The delightful musings were of a 50+ year old woman singing puff the magic dragon and John Denver's Country Road to the happy newly engaged VIRGINIANS!!!  After eating what was said to be a wonderful meal off of PAPER PLATES, they ran for the door to get the last seats on the sleigh before it took off.  3 hours of pure lameness.  Here are pictures that show the horrific night.

MY Christmas gift

Here is one of the gifts Josh got me for Christmas.  Also, a pair of pants and some running clothes.  These were my favorites!!!!

Christmas morning

This is Kayla's first Christmas living in America and this is Guinness's first Christmas EVER!   Kayla is not a morning person, so this video will show you a little of what our mornings look like.  Deer in headlights we call it. 

CHRISTMAS!!!

My sister this year decided to make the kids gifts...they turned out great!  As you can see, Kayla is modeling her skirt and Guinness is modeling his scarf. My mom made him the hat...I think he loved them.  Josh's mom got kayla a stove top with pans, so she had fun playing kitchen all day.  I got Guinness some old man clothes (plaid pants and hat).  He looks soo cute in them!  We had a great day with Josh's family in CO.  Lots and Lots of snow now and is coming.  Both of the kiddos are sick and so am I...boo.  Not much fun.  Get really tired really fast.  Oh well.  We are expected to get 12 inches today.  WOAH mama

SNOW SNOW SNOW

We had an awesome time snow mobiling yesterday!!! Soo much fun.  I flipped the mobile once (which is ok) in some deep powder (which is hard to walk in).  I took some footage of us while driving real slow (for you mom) and just took in the scenery...soo beautiful.!!!!!

Engaged Part II

ENGAGED!!!

Jason is ENGAGED!!! my brother -in- law is engaged to Jackie Collins! :)  She is off the hook and it was an awesome engagement.  He woke her up at 6:30 to an ipod message that Jesse (my sister in law) gave to her.  It was of jason explaining their exciting  first day in CO and what they were going to do.  He told her he wanted her to get up, showered, and ready for breakfast at the lodge.  Then snow mobiling, and a romantic dinner that evening.  Little did she know that he had prepared a breakfast for them next to a roaring fire and a christmas tree.  On the christmas tree he had made these little ornaments that were scrolls with all the places and things they had done together over their almost 2 years of dating.  He told her to reach down to read the last one and it said "December 20,2008 Jason proposes to Jackie" she turned around and he was on one knee telling her he loved her and that she would make him the happiest man in the world if she would be his wife.  :)  goosebumps.  Just awesome.  He got the whole thing on video, so hopefully he will put that on youtube or something for all to see.  I will have a pic to post later, not yet.  Anyway, GREAT DAY!!!!!!

SANTA is coming!

Here is Kayla & Guinness's first EVER picture with Santa C.  We expected some tears, but Guinness was great ( a little perplexed), but great and Kayla did fine too.  Success!  We also sang some Christmas songs (the church), and Kayla got ready to go outside in the snow.  It was 16 degrees outside....SOO COLD

Tonight we went downtown to Howelson Hill where the professionals do these REALLY big  jumps and they have ski lessons for the kiddos.  We took Guinness and Kayla down to do some caroling/to see Santa C.  and to take Kayla down the hill on a tube.  Here is her video and first time tubing.

Snow Day

Here we are at Jack and Joan's house enjoying the outdoors.  Kayla is swinging in a foot of snow with Jack (Grandpa Elwood).  She LOVES the swing and shows that you can still do it even in the snow.

COOKIES!!!

We decorated cookies today.  Kayla ate more than she decorated, but she had a great time with friends, as did I.  In the first picture are my friends Emily and Sally.  Guinness is shirtless for obvious reasons (drool).  I just met these women and they are awesome!  Then of course G's Christmas picture, with the usual (drool).  I must preface the last picture because my bottom half looks a lot bigger than usual.  I am wearing long johns under my jeans..why you ask?  because it didn't get over 19 degrees today. WOAH!!!!  SOO cold.  

Baby blues!

My kids have the most beautiful eyes!  Guinness has eyes the same color as the towel behind him.  Soo cute.  Kayla has a little darker blue, but equally as amazing.  Kayla walks around the house saying "mama has blue eyes, daddy has blue eyes, and Guinness has blue eyes".

On another note, my favorite show right now is John and Kate plus 8.  I love this show.  It shows me that I only have two...and if I have three???, no big deal.  This woman has 8 kids.  HELLO? Can you imagine having 8 kids and 6 of those have gone through the terrible 2's??  WOW.  This pennsylvania couple is amazing.  

that's all for now.  I have decided that I am going to write more and put more video's up.   but......not right now, I'm tired :)

Let is SNOW!!! A LOT

Today it was snowing ALL day.  The roads were slick and Kayla LOVED it.  She has no fear of getting wet and cold, she just loves the snow.
